I had previously hooked up a 4" hose nearby to extract from the table saw's overhead guard, but that guard is a PITA so I will likely leave it off the saw, which frees up that 4" collector, just 5' from the milling machine. I'd just need to swivel the 4" collector lateral around 180˚ and get some sort of plastic funnel with rare earth magnets to mount flexibly on the milling machine. For the time being I don't mind spraying chips and shavings as it helps soak up any oil the machine cares to drip onto the floor.

~CAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14328401081765407624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261993076995357307.post-32972051468731339562015-11-20T08:33:37.881-05:002015-11-20T08:33:37.881-05:00Cooooool!

It was quite a journey - an expensive journey - getting that Zimmermann from Germany to my shop, and I'm feeling modestly chuffed at having resolved enough issues with the machine that it is finally doing something beyond drilling holes. While I do need to replace the 'start' switch on the machine, and possibly another switch, otherwise it seems to be working well so far.

There's a vast potential I'm looking to tap into with this miller - we'll see where the trail leads.

~C Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14328401081765407624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6261993076995357307.post-7513469067618255992015-11-17T08:14:09.351-05:002015-11-17T08:14:09.351-05:00Ever since a friend let me play with a "baby&...Ever since a friend let me play with a "baby" Bridgeport back in the '90's, I have wanted this machine to exist - - and you have hunted, acquired, and gotten one running.
